I went to the candlelight vigil tonight for Moe. I thought to myself are people really going to care? Will they go into an area where some consider it unsafe? I didn’t know until I got there what the community stands for. I arrived a little early and there were tons of people there. People of all ages, races, religions. From very small infants to elderly people they gathered for one reason… Moe.
They gathered because a life was brutally taken. As people spoke they talked about being scared, about sending their children out, about what a wonderful person Moe was. We prayed in English we prayed in Muslim. We all prayed together. Everyone sang together, everyone stood together. Read more »

7:56 p.m. – Racine police are en route to the 2200 block of DeKoven Ave for shots fired.

7:25 p.m. – Racine police are responding to a 911 Sheriff transfer call for the Memorial & Hamilton area.
7:26 p.m. – 911 call back giving an address in the 1400 block of Hamilton
7:28 p.m. – Scanner reports officers are involved in a fight with a party, dispatch is trying to pinpoint the squads. Found out it was these units, additional squads responding Read more »
